Learning Support Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality education and care for a named young child or a small group of children within the Alternative Provision setting.
• Work under the direction of the Room Leader/Lead Teacher to support pupils with special educational and complex needs.
• Deliver creative, enriching, and learning opportunities tailored to the specific needs of each pupil.
• Implement specialist support strategies, including SALT and specific OT strategies, as required.

Requirements

• Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification (unqualified applicants will not be considered).
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and effective support strategies.
• Possess high standards of spoken and written English.
• Show a genuine passion for Special Needs Education and a commitment to the school and its pupils.
• Be organized, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.
