About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide learning assistance and academic support to students within the Office for Development and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS).
- Support students through one-on-one personalized academic plans, career advising, and mentoring.
- Develop programs and strategies aimed at improving student recruitment, retention, and graduation rates.
- Hire, train, and supervise peer Supplemental Instructors for weekly academic support sessions and mandatory study halls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of professional experience working collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff in an academic support services environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and general computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in biology, higher education, or a related field.
