About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive learning resource strategies to enhance program experiences and student outcomes.
- Create a collection of learning resources aligned with course competencies and program objectives.
- Facilitate the build-or-buy decision-making process for instructional materials.
- Research and recommend new learning resources, including labs, simulations, and hands-on exercises.
- Manage the full lifecycle of learning resources from selection and procurement to implementation and retirement.
- Ensure all learning materials meet accessibility standards and are technically compatible with university systems.
- Maintain a centralized asset tracking system to govern resource usage and lifecycle.
- Advise academic and design stakeholders on the instructional value and long-term sustainability of resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Library/Information Science, Technology, Business, Health, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience selecting, evaluating, and curating learning resources to support courses or instructional initiatives.
- Proven ability to identify and recommend specialized resources such as labs, simulations, and practice activities.
- Experience conducting research for instructional use, including evaluating vendors and external sources.
- Experience aligning learning resources to instructional objectives, course outcomes, and student learning needs.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Publishing, Instructional Design, Online Higher Education, or Library Science.
- Experience with educational technology platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for digital learning materials.
