Learning & Development Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities
• Design and develop training materials including instructor-led courses, e-learning modules, and job aids
• Create engaging learning content using instructional design principles and adult learning theory
• Develop assessment tools to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge retention
• Facilitate training sessions both in-person and virtually
• Coordinate training logistics including scheduling and vendor management
• Manage the learning management system (LMS)
• Deliver onboarding programs for new employees
• Measure training effectiveness through evaluations and performance metrics
• Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to align training with business needs

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in learning and development or instructional design
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs
• Hands-on experience with instructional design methodologies like ADDIE or SAM
• Practical experience using LMS and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate
• Proven track record of facilitating training for diverse audiences
• Strong portfolio of developed training materials or learning solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, or Business
• Professional certifications such as CPTD, CPLP, or ATD
• Familiarity with learning analytics and data visualization tools
• Experience designing virtual or hybrid learning experiences
