Responsibilities

• Review and improve project guidelines, rubrics, and instruction documents to maximize clarity for talent experts
• Transform complex task specifications into well-structured instructional materials
• Build centralized academy programs and structured upskilling pathways for LLM post-training data types
• Develop assessments and certification frameworks to validate readiness for project types
• Design and develop training curricula for internal Mercor employees across the full project lifecycle
• Build competency-based learning paths and evaluation systems to ensure consistent quality

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in learning design, instructional design, curriculum development, or technical writing
• Strong pedagogical foundation and understanding of how people learn
• Excellent writing and communication skills for making complex concepts actionable
• Experience creating task documentation or procedural guides
• Ability to diagnose instructional problems and documentation gaps
• Experience creating multi-format content including written documentation, video, and interactive exercises
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a fast-moving environment
• Systems thinking orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tech, AI/ML, or data operations environments
• Experience building training programs at high-growth startups
• Background in teaching, coaching, or educational leadership
• Familiarity with data annotation, labeling, or evaluation workflows
• Background in training for client-facing or sales roles
