Learning Designer

Responsibilities

• Lead learning design for scaled Coursera-produced learning experiences, focusing on modular, skill-aligned design and robust assessment.
• Translate subject-matter expert (SME) expertise into vendor-ready design deliverables, including storyboards, learning journeys, and assessment specifications.
• Leverage replicable design systems and templates to ensure consistent production quality across external vendors.
• Collaborate on repackaging efforts to recombine modules and assets into new long-form offerings aligned with skill outcomes.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback and Quality Assurance checks to production vendors and APAC partners.
• Contribute to pedagogical R&D by helping develop AI-assisted design tools, templates, and prompts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Education, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning product design.
• Proven experience working with SMEs and external production vendors to create production deliverables.
• Demonstrated expertise in modular, skill-aligned course design and assessment design.
• Proficiency in using GenAI tools for learning design, content production, or workflow management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Learning Sciences, or Instructional Design.
• Familiarity with Coursera’s platform, learning analytics, and data-driven optimization.
• Experience with authoring and design tools such as Figma or Articulate Storyline.
• Basic data fluency with familiarity in tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Experience communicating with external stakeholders, such as universities or enterprise clients, to influence design decisions.
