About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support to students in specific Meehan School of Business courses
- Serve as an extension of the faculty teaching team through regular communication and coordination
- Attend class sessions to offer in-class learning support
- Hold regular office hours or drop-in help sessions
- Lead review sessions or study groups
- Assist with assignment review and clarification of course content
- Support classroom logistics or technology when appropriate
- Provide peer mentorship and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Successful completion of the course (or a higher-level equivalent) with strong academic performance
- Solid understanding of the subject matter and ability to communicate it clearly to peers
- Faculty recommendation and request from a Meehan School of Business faculty member
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (unless an exception is made by the recommending faculty member)
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold academic integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in mentoring, tutoring, or peer support
