About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee onboarding programs, safety training, and departmental policies to maintain training compliance for Michigan Dining professionals and staff.
  • Plan, develop, and implement methods for reviewing training needs and tracking requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather feedback and enhance the effectiveness of compliance programs, including environmental health and safety.
  • Schedule training activities and maintain records of employee progress toward compliance.
  • Review training manuals, guides, and course materials to ensure adherence to departmental standards and policies.
  • Facilitate training sessions and coach other facilitators on adult learning theory and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, instructional design, HR, organizational development, education, hospitality, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in training or instructional design roles.
  • Proven experience with facilitating and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in content development, workforce development, and training needs analysis.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as PowerPoint, domiKNOW, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline.
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire.
