About the role
Responsibilities
- Instruct skating lessons from pre-beginner to advanced levels following ISI guidelines
- Assist with the testing and advancement of Learn to Skate participants
- Provide assistance and direction to patrons
- Provide direction to participants in the event of an emergency
- Submit verbal and written reports to the Learn to Skate School Director and Recreation Supervisor
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience instructing various skill levels of figure skating and hockey
- Proven experience working with children
- Strong skating techniques, teaching, and communication skills
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be available to work Monday evenings (approximately 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) on a regular basis

The City of Rosemount provides community recreation programs and services to its residents. The Learn to Skate School offers year-round instruction to help participants develop their skills on the ice in a supportive environment.
