About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Lean projects and initiatives across various departments to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement Lean training programs for employees at all levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
- Utilize data analysis and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiatives
- Mentor and coach team members in Lean principles and practices
- Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes to management
Requirements
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools (e.g., 5S, VSM, Kaizen)
- 0-3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
- 0-3+ years of experience in roles requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 0-3+ years of experience using analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause identification
- Willingness to travel domestically, including to Charleston, South Carolina
- Ability to work onsite and potentially on variable shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of combined relevant experience including education
- 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or a manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience with coaching and facilitating training
- Experience with 3P, process mapping, and Kaizen workshops
