About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy continuous improvement plans based on Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
- Monitor progress of improvement plans and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the unit
- Promote and embed Lean culture throughout the organization
- Supervise Lean projects led by junior Lean Leaders to ensure best practices are followed
- Guarantee the deployment and optimization of the Alstom performance system (APSYS)
- Coach and support teams to increase their Lean competencies
- Analyze manual assembly processes and ensure optimal production line balancing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain positive and constructive social relations on the shop floor
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in continuous improvement, ideally in assembly or labor-intensive environments
- Mastery of Lean tools and concepts, including VSM and problem-solving methodologies
- Expertise in line balancing and manual assembly processes
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to persuade and animate teams
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to maintain positive field relations
