About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including pulling, picking, staging, sorting, and loading customer orders.
- Manage inbound receiving functions and unloading of loads.
- Assign resources to ensure daily production goals and shipping deadlines are met.
- Conduct quality audits on outbound customer loads and provide input for facility-wide quality improvements.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and identify/correct potential hazards.
- Provide training to warehouse associates on company policies, processes, and WMS usage.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and overall facility cleanliness.
- Oversee compliance with Hazmat requirements and Department of Transportation guidelines.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED.
- 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with WMS systems, specifically SAP experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Proficiency in using personal computers, including spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Strong understanding of administrative and management functions such as planning and coordinating.
