About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage medical safety reports and ensure clinical excellence
- Mentor and coach associate DVMs through shadowing and 1:1 meetings
- Partner with the Practice Manager to support medical operational efficiency and team development
- Provide high-quality veterinary care including appointments, procedures, and interpreting lab work
- Manage patient follow-ups and ensure timely completion of medical charting
- Drive the Juno vision and purpose within the clinic environment
- Participate in regular meetings with DVMs, PMs, and leadership to improve medical quality
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a veterinary clinic
- Medical competence in diagnosing and treating infectious, inflammatory, metabolic, and environmental diseases
- Surgical competence in feline and canine spay/neuter, mass removals, and various soft tissue surgeries
- Dental competence including charting, radiography, and extractions
- Ability to triage and stabilize urgent/emergent cases
- Strong leadership interest and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience
- Comfort with POCUS and abdominal ultrasound
- Understanding of veterinary business metrics
