Lead Toddler Teacher

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement weekly curriculum covering all areas of child development following a daily routine
• Use parent communication apps efficiently to keep families updated
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide high-quality care
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child and respond to their emotional needs
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences
• Perform daily classroom duties related to the care of toddlers

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Completion of early childhood education credentials
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• College coursework in early childhood education
• Previous experience working in a childcare setting
