Lead Toddler Guide

Responsibilities

• Provide people management for classroom teachers while fostering a supportive and collaborative educational environment
• Build a teaching culture of collaboration, nurturing mutual respect and a cohesive classroom team
• Support teachers in acquiring and maintaining accreditations to ensure best-in-class standards
• Directly support and evaluate classroom teachers and substitutes to ensure high-quality instruction and purposeful child support
• Manage performance for the classroom team and mentor teachers in delivering Ohana principles
• Follow and teach Montessori and/or RIE pedagogy
• Ensure consistency in curriculum across different grade levels
• Communicate effectively with school leadership, parents, and teachers
• Assist with school operations, including onboarding new team members and providing feedback to the Director
• Manage classroom resources and provide input to the budgeting process

Requirements

• MACTE accredited Montessori certification is required
• 6+ years of experience working in a Montessori environment
• Proficiency in Montessori and/or RIE caregiving techniques
• Strong skills in observation and documentation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift, move, or hold children weighing up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
