Lead Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated testing solutions to ensure enterprise-wide quality standards.
• Drive system integration testing and automation for newly developed or enhanced applications.
• Develop and advise on test automation strategies, providing critical feedback during design and implementation phases.
• Partner with Product Management, Application Development, and DevOps teams to align testing with business objectives.
• Construct end-to-end business scenarios and track test execution milestones to manage project risks and timelines.
• Contribute to the creation of reusable foundational test automation frameworks and standard functions.
• Mentor junior test engineers and ensure process compliance and associated documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing with hands-on automated testing expertise.
• Proficiency in Java and Selenium for frontend test automation.
• Strong experience in backend API testing using tools such as Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman.
• Proficiency in SQL for database testing (e.g., Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake).
• Experience with CI/CD technologies and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, or Cloudbees.
• Deep understanding of the software implementation lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Unix, Python, or AWS.
• Experience with JIRA, ALM, or Cucumber.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite/offshore coordination model.
