About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform all functions of a Medical/Clinical Laboratory Technologist while assuming elevated responsibility for technical quality and operational integrity.
- Provide advanced oversight of laboratory quality systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Monitor, evaluate, and validate laboratory processes, instrumentation, and methodologies to ensure accuracy and reliability of patient testing.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the assigned section, supporting the implementation of new methods and technology enhancements.
- Conduct proactive reviews of quality indicators and trend analysis to mitigate regulatory risk.
- Provide technical guidance and support to peers within the laboratory section.
Requirements
- Associate's degree specializing in medical technology.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Technologist.
- Professional certification such as ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW(HHS).
- Proficiency in medical terminology and clerical skills including math and medical spelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related science field.
- 5 or more years of Med Tech/Lab Tech experience.
