Lead Technician

Responsibilities

• Autonomously build electrical harness assemblies for aerospace and defense customers
• Provide technical and operational direction to team members to ensure quality standards and schedule are met
• Demonstrate proper techniques to new apprentice technicians
• Inspect hardware in-process to ensure conformance to specifications
• Implement daily task checklists to maintain the workcenter
• Assign and prioritize daily work per production schedule
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics to enhance manufacturability

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a technician in a fast-paced production environment
• Proficiency in reading complex wire harness schematics
• Knowledge of soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion/removal, and harness routing
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and BOM structures
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum)
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing
• 1+ year of scheduling and task allocation experience
• Familiarity with IPC-620 or NASA STD 8739.4
• Experience working at a contract manufacturing company
