Lead Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians in operating, maintaining, and upgrading rocket engine test facilities
• Oversee day-to-day activities and ensure personnel safety and regulatory compliance
• Plan team activities in coordination with logistics and engineering functions
• Lead troubleshooting of test facility and engine issues
• Create and update operational procedures for commissioning, pressure testing, and engine hotfire
• Manage maintenance and calibration of facilities, test rigs, and equipment
• Support the team directly with tasks and test operations as needed

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a technical hands-on role
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position
• Practical experience with hazardous systems (cryogenics, pyrophorics, or explosive atmospheres)
• Experience with high pressure gas systems (assembly, commissioning, and leak checking)
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, fluid, and mechanical systems
• Fluent in English
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a development test environment with cryogenics
• Relevant formal technical education or certifications
• Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office suite
