Lead Technician, Design Support

Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements and design criteria to ensure all appropriate specifications are included in design requirements.
• Deliver high-quality 2D and 3D BIM documentation to meet both WSP and client requirements under strict timescales.
• Coach and mentor colleagues on appropriate design tools, techniques, and identified design standards.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure designs meet project requirements and documentation remains up to date.
• Prepare engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations, and specifications.
• Lead and foster a strong safety culture to ensure the well-being of all staff within the team.
• Stay abreast of technical innovations and negotiate recommendations for improving processes or technologies.

Requirements

• 8-11+ years of professional experience in technical design or drafting.
• High-level Revit operator with advanced proficiency.
• High-level 2D and 3D CAD software skills and understanding.
• Extensive expertise in drafting and detailing.
• Diploma of Engineering or an Advanced Diploma of Engineering.
• Proven ability to provide technical expertise across a broad range of complex projects.
