Lead Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Write and edit documentation for accountants to help them adopt DualEntry as their ERP
• Create developer-facing documentation for API integration and production deployment
• Set documentation standards, style guidelines, and information architecture
• Contribute to the documentation toolchain, including release notes and infrastructure
• Review product features for accuracy by collaborating with product managers and engineers
• Build accounting workflows and provide hands-on guidance to support customer success

Requirements

• Proven experience writing technical documentation with a strong portfolio
• Technical fluency to work through tutorials and use the command line
• Experience with docs-as-code workflows including Git and Markdown
• Familiarity with documentation automation, linting tools (e.g., Vale), and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to provide and receive constructive editorial feedback
• High agency and a hardcore work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or genuine interest in working with accounting and finance functions
• Background in accounting, finance, or ERP systems

Benefits

• Base salary: $115,000 - $170,000
• Equity: $40,000 - $60,000
• 15 PTO days plus 12 public holidays
