About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for customer assay questions related to reagents, consumables, and NGS issues
  • Lead root cause investigations through experiment design, study execution, and data analysis
  • Conduct bench-level experiments and prepare detailed technical reports and protocols
  • Lead the development of training materials and provide technical training to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with development and marketing teams to provide technical input for new product implementation and design
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to products and team workflows
  • Mentor team members and lead complex-level projects and core teams
  • Communicate customer feedback and "voice of customer" to development teams to drive product enhancements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the life sciences industry
  • 5+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics or a clinical laboratory setting
  • 5+ years of experience working with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
  • Advanced proficiency in molecular biology techniques and Real-Time PCR assays
  • Strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, IVDR, and FDA regulations
  • Advanced data analysis skills and understanding of statistical/mathematical methods in biology
  • Ability to travel up to 35% for work-related duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Life Sciences
  • 10+ years of experience in a regulated medical device field (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA GMP)
  • 7+ years of experience working within quality system regulations
  • 7+ years of experience analyzing data using tools such as JMP statistical software
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical support function
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory chemistry
