Lead Technical Product Manager, Platform

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure end-to-end by turning company objectives into actionable roadmaps and improving key reliability metrics.
• Act as the technical translator between Platform engineering and non-technical stakeholders to prioritize engineering needs against company goals.
• Manage incident response as a first-class program, including on-call rituals, observability, and post-mortems to ensure best-in-class SLAs.
• Drive build-vs-buy decisions by evaluating homegrown tools versus third-party integrations.
• Partner on system architecture by identifying hidden complexities, surfacing tradeoffs, and participating in design reviews.
• Scale the Platform operating model and define boundaries between Product Infrastructure and Internal Infrastructure teams.
• Integrate AI leverage into platform operations to optimize decision-making and automate coordination work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience (ideally in marketplace infrastructure, payments, or distributed systems).
• 2+ years of experience in a PM, TPM, or Technical Program Manager role.
• Strong fluency in system design, payments architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional programs and manage complex dependencies.
• Excellent written communication skills for both technical specs and executive memos.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week at our SoHo, NYC office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience owning internal tooling to improve non-technical team velocity and operational efficiency.
• Experience optimizing on-call practices and incident response programs.
• A personal passion for in-person connection and IRL communities.
