About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical reference for the team on all Technical Art subjects and provide solutions to complex problems
- Optimize content to improve memory usage and performance
- Contribute to asset and rendering development (models, animations, textures) when necessary
- Plan, prioritize, and define inspiring objectives for the team throughout the year
- Provide clear expectations and monitor key results for team members
- Offer continuous and constructive feedback on performance and development
- Stay informed of current and future trends in graphics software, hardware, and methodologies
- Contribute to the development of technological roadmaps tailored to project needs
- Maintain a balance between the creative vision of the project and technical constraints
- Identify and report potential risks to management
Requirements
- Solid experience as a Technical Artist, ideally on AAA or AA productions, preferably on a multiplayer shooter
- Experience in world-building aspects such as level art, lighting, props, level design, environments, and water
- Excellent technical skills in performance, optimization, and workflow
- Mastery of at least one 3D modeling software (Blender, 3DS Max, Substance Designer, Maya, etc.)
- Strong scripting skills (Maxscript, Python, etc.); experience with node-based visual scripting is a plus
- Significant experience with a game engine (Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines)
- Proficiency in English for working in an international environment
