Lead Technical Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Engineering Leads, providing coaching through the software development lifecycle and regular 1:1s.
• Create and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the platform workstream.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure scalable, resilient, and secure platform services.
• Drive engineering best practices, including clean code, pair programming, CI/CD, and pyramid testing within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Oversee code quality through rigorous testing practices and code reviews.
• Solve complex business problems with software solutions that meet high-performance and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing software teams and mentoring engineers in enterprise web development.
• Extensive expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful protocols (including GraphQL).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks like Jest.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API gateways (e.g., Kong) and CMS platforms (e.g., Strapi).
• Knowledge of Redis, Okta, or OpenID.
• Familiarity with DataBricks, Spark, or Azure Data Lake.
• Experience building or managing Developer Portals.
