Lead Teacher Trainer

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 energetic elementary students
• Assist in the training, coaching, and performance evaluation of instructors
• Assist local Area Managers with coaching, customer conversations, and quality control
• Help troubleshoot and resolve program challenges
• Complete class evaluation reports and communicate daily with supervisors
• Speak regularly with school administration and parents to gather feedback and assist with customer service
• Maintain professional communication and arrive prepared to engage students

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain tactics to children
• Reliable transportation to reach various class locations in metropolitan areas
• Availability during after-school hours at least 4 days per week
• Ability to reside in or relocate to the Royal Oak, MI area
