Lead Teacher Trainer

Responsibilities

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 energetic elementary students
• Assist in the training, coaching, and performance evaluation of instructors
• Support the local Area Manager with coaching, quality control, and customer conversations
• Troubleshoot and resolve program challenges
• Complete class evaluation reports and communicate daily with supervisors
• Engage with school administration and parents to gather feedback and assist with marketing efforts

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, or camp counseling)
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain tactics to children
• Reliable transportation to reach various class locations in metropolitan areas
• Availability during after-school hours at least 4 days per week
• Ability to arrive 15 minutes early for setup and stay until safe dismissal

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability 5 days per week during peak program weeks
• Experience in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings
