Lead Teacher of Drama with English

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for students
• Support the designated curriculum area through strategic and operational planning
• Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher and form tutor
• Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and academic growth
• Manage departmental information, including maintaining records and tracking student progress
• Engage in staff development and the performance management review process
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
• Proven teaching experience at the secondary level (including teaching practice)
• Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum requirements
• Ability to develop resources, write lesson plans, and assess student work
• Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in multi-ethnic urban schools
• Experience working within an 11-18 school environment
