Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead daily supervision, care, and early learning experiences for preschool-age children
• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
• Promote social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development through play-based learning
• Maintain active supervision and ensure compliance with Title 22 and Title 5 regulations
• Observe and document child development using required assessment tools
• Support children with IEP goals and specialized developmental needs
• Partner with families through regular communication and engagement practices
• Provide leadership and guidance to Associate Teachers and classroom support staff

Requirements

• Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
• Compliance with Title 5 and Title 22 requirements for Lead Teachers
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass health screening, TB test, and background fingerprint clearance
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Bilingual in Spanish
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a licensed early childhood program
• Experience leading classroom activities and supporting teaching staff
