Lead Systems Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of traditional platform operations into a modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model
• Define and implement SLIs/SLOs and error budgets for critical platform services
• Build and tune end-to-end observability using metrics, logs, and traces
• Identify and eliminate operational toil through automation and AI-driven workflows
• Act as Incident Commander for major incidents, ensuring rapid triage and timely restoration
• Facilitate blameless postmortems and drive corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
• Coach and mentor platform engineering and operations teams on SRE principles and reliability-first mindsets

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Hands-on experience with observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD workflows and GitOps practices
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes
