Lead Systems Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, broad-impact initiatives and provide high-level systems consultation for technology teams
• Participate in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure
• Analyze complex technical challenges and escalated support issues related to core business solutions
• Make critical decisions regarding technical changes, enhancements, and process controls
• Collaborate with technical peers and management to resolve systems support issues and achieve operational goals

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or an equivalent combination of experience, training, or education

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes environments
• Strong expertise in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and supporting containerized workloads
• Experience supporting Java-based enterprise applications and Oracle databases
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Autosys, and enterprise scheduling tools
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk or Grafana
• Understanding of ITIL-aligned service management frameworks
• Strong automation mindset and experience with scripting and preventive maintenance
