Lead Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement, operate, and support managed file transfer platforms including IBM Connect:Direct (NDM), IBM DataPower (SFTP), and AWS Transfer Family.
• Monitor file transfer workflows to ensure high availability, throughput, and transaction success rates.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations for Tier-0 and Tier-1 platforms.
• Support client and application onboarding by providing secure connectivity patterns and production readiness validation.
• Enforce secure file transfer standards, including encryption in transit, strong authentication, and key management.
• Execute platform lifecycle activities such as upgrades, patching, and decommissioning of end-of-life components.
• Develop automation for onboarding, configuration management, monitoring, and compliance reporting.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and resiliency testing to meet RTO/RPO objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in systems engineering or file transfer management.
• Strong experience with IBM Connect:Direct (NDM) and IBM DataPower (SFTP gateways).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Transfer Family.
• Proficiency with Linux platforms, scripting, and operational troubleshooting tools.
• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical production platforms in regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, or SIEM integrations.
• Experience with cloud-integrated file transfer patterns.
