Lead Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support various middleware and MQ technologies including Tomcat, WebSphere, Liberty, Kafka, and IBM MQ in a Linux environment
• Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for application servers and middleware components
• Manage load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery plans and configurations
• Solve issues related to access management solutions and implement security patches for vulnerabilities
• Conduct performance analysis, tuning, and optimization to ensure system health and uptime
• Support new application deployments across Dev, QA, PSE, and PROD environments
• Utilize monitoring and ITSM tools to manage incident, problem, and change management processes
• Provide 24/7 shift coverage for BAU production support

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience in systems engineering or middleware administration
• 5+ years of experience supporting real-time production environments
• Extensive debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, WebSphere, Tomcat, Liberty, and Kafka
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools such as SNOW and SPLUNK
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and virtualization

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Certifications in middleware technologies
• Familiarity with modern cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
