Lead Support Equipment Tech

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly, disassembly, and modification of aerospace vehicle components and ground support equipment
• Oversee the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of systems to correct failures or implement changes
• Direct troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment
• Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components
• Document procedures and processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements
• Supervise tasks associated with the safe handling of aerospace vehicles, including jacking and towing
• Provide training and mentorship to team members

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or managing a team in a multi-skill discipline
• Ability to work all shifts of a 24/7 work schedule
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Maintenance Programs and Operating Procedures
• Experience serving as a Collateral Duty Inspector
• General automotive servicing experience with electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine backgrounds
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
