About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level technical guidance for complex building and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.
- Lead the research, design, concept development, and construction of load-bearing structures.
- Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and planners to execute project work, including budget and schedule management.
- Coordinate, review, and approve design plans to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Mentor and manage junior engineers in a team-oriented environment.
- Perform site investigations and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in structural or civil design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS or RAM.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Strong technical writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
- Structural Engineering (SE) license.
