Lead Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyholder responsible for independently opening and closing the store in the absence of management
• Lead, develop, and supervise the team to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction
• Delegate and oversee tasks for associates, cashiers, and stockers to maintain store standards
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to store personnel
• Assist management with implementing action plans to improve operating results and personnel development
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves and displays according to merchandising planograms
• Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items and ensuring timely delivery to customers
• Ensure compliance with cash handling policies, expense guidelines, and safety procedures
• Resolve employee and customer concerns effectively

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds
• Ability to operate store equipment including cash registers, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a retail environment
• Previous management or leadership experience
