Lead Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Act as a keyholder responsible for independently opening and closing the store in the absence of management
• Lead, develop, and supervise the team to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction
• Delegate and oversee tasks for associates, cashiers, and stockers to ensure operational efficiency
• Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to store personnel
• Resolve employee and customer concerns, escalating to store management as necessary
• Maintain store standards by stocking shelves, following merchandising planograms, and performing cleaning tasks
• Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items and ensuring timely delivery to customers
• Ensure compliance with cash handling, inventory, and safety policies

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds
• Ability to operate store equipment including cash registers, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail environment
• Prior management or leadership experience
