Lead Staff Software Engineer, Front End

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership by reviewing design and code and delivering hands-on contributions to team objectives.
• Manage a small team of engineers, including conducting 1:1s, providing regular feedback, and supporting career growth plans.
• Collaborate with Product Management to develop roadmaps, MVP plans, and execution milestones for large initiatives.
• Drive complex technical changes across multiple components and ensure high-quality delivery through automated testing and monitoring.
• Communicate strategic business priorities and technical developments to area leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 11+ years of software development engineering experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proven experience in technical and project leadership, specifically leading initiatives involving multiple teams.
• Experience in people management and contributing to the professional growth of software engineers.
• Experience building enterprise-level services.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React and Redux.
• Proficiency in server-side technologies including C#, Java, NodeJS, or SQL.
• Experience working within agile, distributed teams across multiple time zones.
