Lead Specifications Analyst

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering technical expert for alternate supplier qualifications, including specification analysis and impact assessments.
• Lead Operational Innovation (OI) project management for new supplier approvals, substitution, and consolidation projects.
• Create technical specifications for components and complex assemblies for data center hardware systems.
• Liaison between Procurement and engineering teams to identify new opportunities and resolve material issues.
• Collaborate with global R&D, regulatory, supply chain, and marketing teams to drive cost optimization and security of supply.
• Communicate requirements and timelines effectively to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline with 6 years of experience (or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience).
• Proven experience creating 3D models and associated 2D drawing prints and specifications.
• Experience authoring engineering change requests (ECR) to create or modify specifications.
• Strong project management experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SAP.
• Experience with equipment design, manufacturing design transfer, and managing equipment specifications.
• Experience with regulatory agency compliance, specifically UL requirements.
• PMP/PMI or Lean Six Sigma certification.
