Lead Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural migration of CREST legacy systems from HPE NonStop to a modern, event-driven Java and OpenShift-based platform.
• Define migration options and provide recommendations for transitioning to service-focused architectures in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture teams.
• Deliver coherent end-to-end IT solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements while aligning with engineering standards.
• Establish infrastructure requirements, design guidelines, patterns, and standards for the new technology stack.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate key components of the proposed architecture.
• Act as the technical authority for the new solution and present architectural plans to management and stakeholders.
• Lead the implementation of prototypes and mentor technical staff through the migration process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in solutions architecture and the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong expertise in implementing Event Hub technology, specifically Kafka.
• Deep understanding of modern architecture patterns, including Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Hands-on experience with Java programming and Object-Oriented Design.
• Proficiency in containerization and commodity platforms, specifically OpenShift.
• Strong database design skills using technologies such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience working within Financial Market Infrastructure or highly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders and lead technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of messaging standards such as ISO 15022, ISO 20022, and JSON.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with IBM MQ or the Angular framework.
• Previous experience with HPE NonStop or CREST settlement systems.
