Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives and develop engineering standards for large-scale solutions.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects within the payments domain.
• Review and analyze large-scale technology solutions to meet tactical and strategic business objectives.
• Establish companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions.
• Collaborate with technical experts and senior leadership to resolve complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to junior engineers.
• Evaluate and onboard new tools and technologies to improve organizational productivity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring framework, and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and building microservices and web services.
• Proficiency in front-end development using ReactJS, Angular, or NodeJS.
• Experience with MongoDB, including querying and data validation.
• Knowledge of messaging services such as Kafka or Solace.
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, PCF, or OCP).
• Proficiency with CI/CD technologies including Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain expertise in payments (SWIFT, ISO 20022).
• Experience with ElasticSearch and caching solutions like Redis or Ignite.
• Familiarity with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot or LLM-based workflows.
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle or MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Cloud migration experience or relevant Azure/GCP certifications.
