Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead software development tasks including detailed design, coding, and unit, integration, and system testing.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate system-level requirements into software requirements and models.
• Conduct software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Lead code reviews to ensure alignment with requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor and review test completion, verification processes, and issue resolution.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers in software development practices.
• Interface with various software programming languages to support space-based effects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Active Top Secret US Security clearance (required prior to start).
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java and/or C++ object-oriented programming.
• 3+ years of experience leading software development projects.
• 1+ years of experience with MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Familiarity with Physics-Based Modeling software packages.
• Knowledge of flight dynamics, sensors, electromagnetics, or flight control.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools including Git, GitLab, or CMake.
• Experience with Agile software development processes (Sprints, User Stories, Daily Standups).
• Exposure to Linux, Windows, and MATLAB Coder.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
