Lead Software Engineer - Systems

Responsibilities

• Architect and build multi-tenant, cloud-native applications from scratch through multiple production iterations.
• Design reliable, modular APIs and distributed services to support highly scalable cloud applications.
• Ensure mission-critical systems achieve high availability (99.99%+), robust security, and deep observability.
• Mentor systems engineers, conduct code reviews, and lead technical conversations across engineering teams.
• Lead engineering initiatives focused on code optimization, refactoring, performance tuning, and scaling backend systems.
• Collaborate with SREs and Product Managers to deliver cohesive, platform-wide capabilities.

Requirements

• 6 to 9 years of professional experience building high-performance backend systems and infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and time/space complexity trade-offs.
• Proven expertise in High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) for fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, including RDBMS, NoSQL, caching, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD automation.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
