Lead Software Engineer - SRE

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, resilient, and market-leading data solutions within the AI/ML Data Platforms team.
• Coordinate incident management coverage and perform root cause analysis to ensure effective resolution of application issues.
• Mentor and guide team members to foster innovation and drive strategic change.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Develop and support AI/ML solutions for troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Reduce toil by building new tools to automate repeated tasks and improve operational stability.
• Manage production changes and ensure compliance with risk controls and company standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Proficiency in site reliability culture, principles, and managing production incident resolution.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Strong understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA, Error Budgets, and telemetry collection.
• Proficiency in Python or PySpark for AI/ML modeling.
• Hands-on experience in system design, resiliency testing, and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of network topologies, load balancing, and content delivery networks.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in an SRE or production support role using AWS Cloud, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Proven ability to implement site reliability practices within an application or platform.
