Lead Software Engineer/Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach cross-functional teams on Agile principles and lean practices tailored to DevSecOps and MLOps environments.
• Act as a servant leader to remove impediments, manage dependencies, and shield the team from external disruptions.
• Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a prioritized backlog reflecting technical debt, integration risks, and program priorities.
• Drive transparency using visual management tools like Jira and Confluence, tracking metrics such as velocity and pipeline health.
• Promote continuous improvement through the adoption of automated testing, CI/CD optimization, and MOSA compliance.
• Champion the secure integration of AI/ML models into unmanned platforms within a high-tempo development environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent).
• 3+ years of Scrum Master experience specifically on complex software/hardware integration projects.
• Active Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• Demonstrated success leading Agile teams in DevSecOps, CI/CD, or MLOps environments.
• Strong technical background in software development, integration testing, or systems engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or USSOCOM programs, particularly in unmanned systems or AI/ML initiatives.
• Hands-on familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and autonomy simulation environments.
• Background in defense systems integration, MOSA standards, or rapid prototyping labs.
• Knowledge of MLOps frameworks and secure AI deployment pipelines.
• Experience working within classified development environments and compliance frameworks.
