Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transformational solutions and integrations end-to-end across various projects within GBME.
• Develop, test, and deploy complex custom components using Java or related technologies.
• Advocate for high code quality, modern engineering practices, and professional-level solutions.
• Design and enhance scalable applications, ensuring efficient and scalable code production.
• Partner with the Architecture team to design and integrate scalable solutions.
• Mentor and guide other developers to foster technical growth within the team.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application development (Java, Python, or .NET/C#).
• 8+ years of experience with Linux or Unix, including related scripting.
• 8+ years of experience with SQL, query languages, and database design.
• 4+ years of experience with data technologies (e.g., Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle, Apache NiFi, Kafka, or ElasticSearch).
• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or JavaScript.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with automation or scheduling technology (e.g., CRON, Tidal, Airflow).
• Proven experience mentoring and guiding other developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on data transformations.
• Experience with Cloud computing (GCP/Azure) or Kubernetes (GKE).
• Knowledge of Capital Markets workflows and products.
• Experience in application or solutions architecture.
