Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, test, and debug complex new software solutions or enhancements to existing products
• Design and improve applications using routine and advanced technologies
• Provide technical mentorship and cultural/competency-based guidance to engineering teams
• Encourage high coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality output
• Interact with architects, product managers, and supervisors regarding project status and team performance
• Implement strategic policies when selecting technical methods and techniques

Requirements

• Technical or Engineering degree from a reputed/accredited university
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• High proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+) and J2EE technologies
• Extensive experience developing microservices, preferably using Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming (OOAD)
• Hands-on experience with SOAP and RESTful web services
• Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
• Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, or GIT
• Understanding of TDD practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based technologies
• Experience leading a team within a fast-paced Agile environment
