Lead Software Engineer - Physical AI (Defense)

Responsibilities

• Deploy, integrate, and operationalize vehicle intelligence products for defense and government customers in diverse environments.
• Tackle technical challenges spanning software engineering, operating system configuration, and hardware integration.
• Act as a technical bridge between customer-built systems and Applied Intuition's solutions.
• Design and implement scalable architectural solutions to improve consistency across projects.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to ensure successful mission outcomes.
• Take end-to-end ownership of technical outcomes and drive projects to completion.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with the integration and deployment of complex systems.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with government customers, defense contractors, or in military environments.
• Familiarity with system architecture and designing scalable solutions.
• Experience in defense, automotive, robotics, or adjacent industries.
