Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team while setting technical direction
• Architect core game systems and foundational technologies
• Define technical strategy and navigate complex development challenges
• Drive delivery and execution by breaking down goals into clear milestones
• Champion performance and quality through code reviews and technical standards
• Partner with game designers, artists, and producers to translate creative visions into technical roadmaps
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding engineers

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring engineers
• Expert-level development experience in C, C++, or C#
• Experience building complex, performant, real-time systems
• Significant experience architecting core systems for interactive applications
• Deep proficiency with real-time engines
• Ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable software architectures
• Strong project leadership skills including scoping and prioritization
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 5+ years in game development with prior leadership experience
• Multiple shipped commercial game titles
• Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones
