Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable technology solutions for the Global Portfolio Swap platform.
• Execute software design, technical troubleshooting, and high-quality production code maintenance.
• Support Production, Simulation, QA, and Development environments.
• Collaborate with global teams across Product Development, Front Office, and Middle Office to deliver competitive product solutions.
• Drive innovation and the adoption of best practices within the engineering team.
• Participate in the full system development lifecycle using Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with a focus on system design and application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring, multithreading, and REST API design.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL (including Stored Procedures).
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and Shell or Perl scripting.
• Strong object-oriented design skills and knowledge of common design patterns.
• Experience in financial markets, specifically with equity swaps or synthetic prime brokerage.
• Experience utilizing AI to accelerate development lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Public Cloud Technologies (AWS).
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Experience with streaming solutions like Kafka or messaging queues like WebSphere MQ.
